Of course, Palpatine had included a master control chip in each clone trooper, ensuring that when the time came he could execute the final stage of his plan for galactic domination. Having already orchestrated the Clone Wars and maneuvered himself into the position of Chancellor, Palpatine had secretly commissioned the creation of a huge clone army to assist the Jedi in defending the Galactic Republic against the Separatists.
